A real flock of Birds
The Bird is a beautiful example of what Linck means by connecting: some sort of modest multiplication of this lamp makes the design even stronger. From Bird-trio to a real flock of Birds, a chandelier of Birds, anything is possible. The Bird is made of steel and has a leather upholstery.
During his first sketches designer Kees Marcelis, enjoying a holiday, came up with the idea of a family. Nothing is more bonding than this simple idea on its own. Every person that held the first model started turning it and started looking at it from different angles. Every point of view presented a new association. Mounted on a stick it looked like a bird on a branch, hence the name.
